There are currently ten personalities to choose from.

The player can save their casts for a later time. The quick setup supports a maximum of 48 students. All other details are randomized and preset. The only thing the player customizes is the cast size. This is the only setup mode where the player can customize the areas and weapons, as the other three modes use preset areas and weapons. After that, Day 1 begins, and the randomness really starts. The students introduce themselves in the lobby (personalities determine the style of introduction), and Monokuma talks about the rules of the school and the killing game (except if you set the number of survivors to be the same as the number of students, in which Monokuma cancels the killing game, creating Ending 6). After you are done setting up, you get the first event stating the killing game has started. The fastest setup allows you to use a cast from one of the three main Danganronpa games. Or, if you find setting up takes too long, you can do a quick setup where the names, personalities, talents, and executions are randomized. They include number of students, name of students, personalities, talents, executions, number of survivors, weapons, and locations. You can customize a variety of things in this simulator. This is a simulator where you can set up a Danganronpa killing game.
